Grand Hyatt Istanbul: What to Expect
My preferred property in Istanbul is usually the Park Hyatt, mostly because of its boutique feel and quieter, residential location. The bathroom
Culturally, bathing and self-care have deep roots in Turkish tradition, and the bathrooms at the Grand Hyatt reflect this beautifully. My room featured a large soaking tub that felt like a treat at the end of a long day walking around the city. There was also a walk-in rain shower, ample counter space, and plush towels. The lighting and layout made it feel like a private spa retreat. It was a lovely contrast to the buzz of the city just outside.

Transportation: The hotel is situated in Taksim, which is central, though a bit uphill if you’re coming from the Bosphorus area. Taxis are relatively inexpensive in Istanbul but be sure to confirm the meter is running or use a rideshare app like BiTaksi or Uber.
Spa access: Guests have access to the Gaia Spa & Fitness Centre, which includes a traditional Turkish hammam. Even if you’re not getting a treatment, taking time in the sauna or hammam can be a relaxing part of your stay.

The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and the level of care in both service and presentation was outstanding.
